Decision tree

• Basic accounts can only be opened in person, so please book a meeting at any Citadele branch. You should bring a form of ID which is in date.
• You will have to submit an application to receive basic account services, which also includes giving a statement that you have no other payment or current accounts at any other credit institution in Latvia.
• The Bank may request other information required to open a basic account.

Please bear in mind that the Law on Payment Services and Electronic Money also stipulates the rights and responsibilities of the credit institution regarding refusal to open, and closing, a basic account.
