How are bonds issued?

Bonds are issued by governments, local authorities, and businesses. In Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, both government and corporate bonds are issued. On the 6th December, 2021, the Treasury of the Republic of Latvia issued sustainable government euro bonds with a maturity term of 8 years, attracting financing of around 600 euro million with a profitability of 0.263% and setting its coupon rate at 0.250%.
