Do I need an internet connection to make payments through Google Wallet?

You do not need an internet connection to make payments through Google Wallet.

However, the number of payments without an internet connection is limited. Once you reach this limit, you will no longer be able to pay with Google Wallet until you have reconnected to the Internet.

When your device is connected to the internet, Google Wallet will automatically update your offline payment limit. It may take a while for the internet connection to be restored and the limit to be restored.
