Does VoP fully protect me from fraud?

No. VoP only checks if the name and account number belong together. Fraudsters may still:

  • Trick you into paying the correct name and IBAN for the wrong reason.
  • Send fake invoices with real account details.

That is why you should always stay careful:

  • Confirm payment details through another trusted channel.
  • Be suspicious of sudden “account number changes” in emails.
  • Never rush into urgent payment requests.
