C cards

C card will help you be more flexible in planning your finances. Your credit limit will give you a feeling of safety and support when making larger purchases or when coming across unplanned expenses.

Use the opportunity to apply for an individually tailored interest rate with a credit limit, which is tailored to your desires and possibilities.

Without a credit limit
If you don’t need a credit limit right now, apply for and use your C card without one. You will have access to all the advantages of the card both for daily purchases and for travels. Apply for a credit limit when needed!

Interest-free period of up to 45 days
A chance to use credit for free!

Up to 45 days interest-free—there is a period for which interest on your balance is not calculated. If you fully repay the credit you use before the 15th of the next month, you won’t have to pay interest.

Minimum repayment—just 5% per month
You can plan to repay your balance in a way that is easiest for you:

• you can gradually repay your balance by making the minimum repayment of 5% before the 15th of every month, with interest being calculated on the remaining balance; 
• if you plan on making repayments over a specific period of time, you may find it easier to pay a set amount every month;
• if you repay your full balance before the 15th of the next month, you will not be charged interest.

Apply for a creditlimit

To apply for a credit limit, you must be at least 18 years old, with a positive credit history and regular monthly income.

To activate your card in the online bank: 

1. Go to "Accounts and Cards"

2. Select “Activate card” from the left-hand column. Activate by entering the final five digits of your card.

3. Confirm the activation with one of your authorisation tools: a code from your code card, a code from your code calculator or a MobileSCAN code.

Activate within 60 days of receiving your card.

To activate your card in the Citadele mobile app:

1. Go to “Cards” and select your new card;

2. Enter the last 5 digits of the card number;

3. Confirm the activation using one of your authorisation devices: MobileSCAN PIN code, fingerprint, face recognition, or a code from your code card or code calculator. That’s all—you can start using your card.

Activate within 60 days of receiving your card.

With C smart, C supreme and C prime you can make unlimited online Euro transfers for free to Latvia and the whole of Europe as part of the Single Euro Payment Area.

Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA) payments are Euro payments to European Union member states and European Economic Area countries. For this type of payment to go ahead, the payment must indicate:

• Recipient IBAN number. 
• Commission type: SHA (shared)
• Payment type: Standard

SEPA includes the following 28 European Union member states: United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Greece, Croatia, Estonia, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Spain, Hungary, Germany and Sweden as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

Register for the C REWARDS programme and receive C REWARDS points on all purchases online and in stores worldwide (with C smart 2 EUR=1 point, C supreme, C prime 1 EUR = 1 point). Register through xrewards.lv, the Citadele app or online bank.

Your C prime monthly card fee depends on your credit limit.

How do I receive a discount on my monthly card fee?

Use your C prime card for free by using it actively for purchases in stores and online. Receive a 50 % discount on your monthly card fee if you spend a total of  6000 EUR in 6 months, or a 25 % discount if you spend a total of 4500 EUR.

To which countries free money transfers can be made?

You can make an unlimited number of free electronic transfers and payments in Euro from your C smart, C supreme, C prime account to any European Union bank account free within the Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA).

Can I make payments to other countries or in a different currency from my C card account?

Yes. Note that in accordance with the Price list a fee will be applied for the currency conversion.

Can I make instant payments from my C card bank account?

As Citadele supports Instant Payments, you will be able to make Instant Payments from your C smart, C supreme, C prime account to any bank which supports instant payments. The money is transferred within seconds.
